While results of studies and polls say graduates of our schools aren’t prepared for college or the workplace, are their any studies examining what “not prepared” means? Specifics? Most jobs need a time to learn the ropes. College often means homesickness. The ages 18-22 are notoriously chaotic as teens experiment with adulthood. Perhaps a longitudinal study of youth 16-26 might give some real answers? It’s too easy to point fingers to the one (mostly) common experience young people have.
