Here are the rules for Trump’s “No Tax on Overtime.” If a worker makes $40 an hour, then their time and a half overtime would amount to $60 an hour. Of that $60, only $20 (the “half” part of “time and a half”) remains tax-free. I don’t think there is anyone outside of Washington DC who thought that no tax on OT meant only “the half” part. Also, state, local and SS taxes are still owed. They are not exempt. Plus, individuals and married couples filing jointly, who earn $150,000 and $300,000 respectively, do not qualify. Once again MAGAs, you’ve been fooled.
