To the Editor:
This president has:
– Cut funding for research, including research to prevent and treat major diseases;
– Cut funding for health care;
– Cut funding for weather forecasting, increasing the danger of weather disasters to our citizens;
– Fired thousands of federal employees, gutting most departments;
– Sent the military into our cities to stop legal protests;
– Used intimidation to stop free speech in the media, in our universities, in our streets;
– Pulled legal residents off the streets, imprisoned them without allowing them a day in court;
– Deported legal residents;
– Created a budget that overwhelmingly gives tax cuts to the rich.
Finally, the president is selling the power of the presidency to enrich himself and win friends in foreign countries – with his meme coin $TRUMP, with his sons traveling around the world winning contracts with Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar.
When Biden was president, congressional Republicans conducted impeachment hearings into President Biden to investigate alleged influence-peddling by his son.
Where are the congressional Republicans now – why aren’t they looking into influence-peddling by the president’s sons?
