SEA ISLE CITY – The City Council is earmarking $5.5 million for road work, drainage projects and pump station improvements designed to provide stormwater flooding relief to low-lying areas of the city under an $11.6 million bonding ordinance it approved on Tuesday, Feb. 13.

The bond ordinance, which will fund 2024 capital plan projects, also allocates $2.35 million toward the purchase of vehicles for the public works, beach patrol, police and fire departments.

A variety of building and facility improvements will get $3.3 million and include renovations for public restrooms and for the emergency medical services building.

Some $460,000 is aimed at various equipment acquisitions and installations, including citywide security cameras and a Police Department computer-aided dispatch system.
