WILDWOOD CREST — Lifeguard championships were held on the borough’s beach this evening.

In the swim event, John Maloy of Wildwood Crest Beach Patrol ran out of the surf
with Aaron Eckstein of Ocean City Beach Patrol right on his heels. Maloy
finished first in the event.
