STONE HARBOR – One month after Stone Harbor Council fired Borough Administrator Robert Smith, the governing body unanimously selected Public Works Director Manny Parada as the interim administrator.
Parada will continue to serve in his role in Public Works. The council provided no timeframe for selecting a new administrator.
Parada is new to the borough. He came to Stone Harbor eight months ago and, in a short time, has become an essential part of most of the borough’s major initiatives involving beach restoration, flood mitigation, and the water and sewer utility.
Parada was praised for his work ethic and speed with which he acclimated to Stone Harbor.
According to Mayor Judith Davies-Dunhour, Assistant Administrator Lisa Marcolongo resigned shortly after Smith’s departure to accept a position as city clerk in Estell Manor.
