By Herald Staff

Stockton University will host a debate between the two major-party candidates for the House seat from the 2nd District, Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew and Democrat Joe Salerno, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24.

The one-hour debate on the university’s Galloway campus will not have a live audience, but it will be livestreamed on the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy’s YouTube page and on The Press of Atlantic City’s website.

Members of the public can submit questions for the candidates by going to the Hughes Center’s website, https://stockton.edu/hughes-center, or emailing The Press at newstips@pressofac.com, putting “CD2 Questions” in the subject line.

Alyssa Maurice, director of research for the Hughes Center, and Nicholas Huba, digital editor for The Press, will pose questions to the candidates. The debate is being co-sponsored by the Hughes Center and The Press.
