Suggestion for a Better Spout Off

By Chuck Burns, Wildwood Crest

To the Editor:

The Spout Off section of the Herald is a great idea. It allows folks to get things off their chest and it can be fun to see what others have to say. I have a suggestion on how to make the Spout Off a bit more enjoyable and effective.

Broadly speaking, spouts tend to fall into one of two categories: Local topics (“why isn’t this street paved”) and political topics (“Trump this, Biden that, etc.”). Has the Herald ever considered having two sections in the Spout Off, one for local and the other for political topics? Some of us get enough politics from plenty of other sources and look to Spout Off for some lighter reading and an escape from all the politics. Thanks for listening.
