Rodger’s Christmas

By Lillian Wing, Whitesboro

Rodger was a young man who enjoyed Christmas all over the world for many years. He and his family moved all around. His dad was a postal worker.

Rodger asked his dad where he would like to celebrate Christmas. “Well, son, I enjoyed our time in California. It was warm, people from all over the world lived there. Just think, we celebrated Christmas on the beach making sandcastles and swimming in the water. It was fun.”

Let us ask Mom where she liked Christmas. “I loved it in Canada! Seeing the beautiful water on our trip to Niagara Falls. And people were so nice to us. Rodger, what about you, where did you like Christmas?”

“When we were in New Jersey. I like the parades and Christmas caroling. The tree lighting was so special. And to see Santa on the fire truck, he was so big! I can still hear the band playing!”

“This year, can we visit Washington, D.C.? It would be nice to see how they celebrate it there!”

Well, family, we are off to Washington!

Friends, may your Christmas be exciting to you and yours. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thanks, Rodger, we enjoyed your family Christmas experiences.
