Pair Vying for North Wildwood Council Seat

Pair Vying for North Wildwood Council Seat

By Christopher South

NORTH WILDWOOD – There are two ward seats on the City Council up for election on Nov. 5, with one of them being contested.

Incumbent James “Jimmer” Kane, Ward 1 councilman, is running for reelection to another three-year term. He is being challenged, again, by Maria Mattera, who ran for council unsuccessfully in 2022.

Kane is a businessman who has been on the council since May 2012. He has lived in North Wildwood for more than 40 years and graduated from Margaret Mace Elementary School and Wildwood Catholic High School.

Further information on Mattera was not available.

Joseph Rullo is running unopposed for reelection to the Ward 2 seat on the council. He has held the post since January 2014.
