Writer Fires Back at Bully with One, Two, Three Punch

By Driscoll

To The Editor:
My grandfather taught us how to fight bullies. As little kids we could not see this giant man as the little boy he once was. The prairie playground gave him plenty of defensive practice battling bigger kids. That training carried him through fights to the end of his old age when he brawled with a much younger man and won. Big Grandpa demonstrated his knowledge to his little tykes many years ago, “First you kick them in the shin, and when they are grabbing their leg, hit them in the chin, and when they are holding their face, punch them square in the gut!” We youngsters looked at Grandpa in sheer awe – our patriarch gave us permission to standup for ourselves — no matter the consequences. So that is what I’m about to do — follow Grandpa’s advice.
A lefty lunatic accused me of spouting “more rightwing nut drivel” for sounding the alarm of the possible censorship of the Internet through “net neutrality.” I call this person a similar name as my shin kick, because leftist bloggers use “rightwing nut” as a common term to discredit the messenger. This discourages people concerned about “losing friends” from even looking at the message lest their peers see them as a nut too.
What did I encourage the reader to do? Did I ask him to go to my “conservative sources?” No, I said investigate it yourself by retrieving the facts from your elected representatives. Since even that was attacked, here’s my chin hit, I’ll take off the gloves and go to one of my sources. Visit eagleforum.org and read Phyllis Schlafly’s columns on the subject. Also, you can find information at discoverthenetworks.org, a site founded by a former Red Diaper Baby, a child born and raised in an American Communist family, David Horowitz.
Don’t stop there, research the subject yourself by visiting the library and searching through all the avenues you can find. The Lefties will say, “Don’t read Phyllis Schlafly, she’s a rightwing nut. Stay away from Horowitz, he’s a radical.” If that is how he rules his life, so be it. Let peer pressure keep him from reading sources that trip his interest. Just remember, Yuri Bezmenov, former KGB agent, detailed how political correctness was a tool to be used with great skill to shuffle the population in the direction the Communists wanted them to move. http://www.crossroad.to/Quotes/brainwashing/2007/bezmenov.htm
Lefty bloggers try tirelessly to paint Kitty Werthmann as a nut. Please, listen to her story; don’t allow “bullies” to dissuade readers from making up their own mind on her merits: http://www.sdfamily.org/Kitty+Wetrthmann. Lefties don’t want to hear an eyewitness tell how tyranny took hold of Austria, twice, under Hitler, then under Communism.
There is a sweet little book that reminds me of the slap “right wing nut.” Saul Alinsky wrote “Rules for Radicals.” Alinsky dedicated his book to Lucifer. His stated purpose of “Rules” was to enable the “have nots” to wrest power from the “haves.” I hear tell that it is quite the manual for discrediting opponents. “Alinsky tactics” are highly revered and practiced in lefty circles.
Just to prove I’m a good sport, however, I’ll pass on the source of choice by my critic and name caller, http://techcrunch.com/2008/08/31/the-net-neutrality-debate-all-on-one-page/. Judge it for yourself on its own merits.
Finally, for my gut punch, the truth is my fist. Being called a right wing nut to me is like earning the Purple Heart. Thank you for the high honor.
