Where Was I?

By Wayne Finkbeiner, Wildwood Crest

To the Editor:

To answer the question “where were you” in a previous letter to the editor, during President Trump’s administration, I lived in a sovereign, energy-independent country trying to secure her borders, the U.S. of America.

President Trump gave me a tax cut, which increased my take-home pay, enabling me to purchase or save more. My investments grew all through his administration.

I did not hesitate to travel in my car because gas was around $2 a gallon. The stores were fully stocked, and most items were readily available. My friends had no difficulty getting baby formula.

Traveling to a safer Philadelphia to enjoy their venues was an option. My family and I did not have to worry about a war with Russia and my Ukrainian friends did not fear for their relatives in the Ukraine.

My Jewish friends were ecstatic when Jerusalem was named the capital of Israel. I was not concerned about being called a domestic terrorist because I voiced my opinion at a school board meeting.

President Trump gave me a vaccine to help protect my family and me against the coronavirus. I lived in a country of peace and prosperity with an administration putting the people above ideology.
