Route 47 Crash Response Time

To the Editor: 

It took 15 minutes after being hung up on to get ahold of Middle Township dispatch.  

It was about 45 minutes total for emergency vehicles to get to the scene of the accident where a grey SUV struck a man on a motorcycle.  

By the time they arrived, the man was already dead for about five to 10 minutes.

ED. NOTE: The Herald obtained the Incident Redaction Report for this crash that occurred outside Delsea Woods Mobile Home Park May 29, 2022. The report showed that emergency medical services arrived on scene nearly eight minutes after the first 911 call.
