To the Editor:
I always read the spouts and they are taking a dismaying drift leftward. Anyone who thinks Hillary will benefit the country’s economy isn’t paying attention. Her college senior thesis was a paean to Saul Alinsky, whom she knew personally; she was always to the left of her husband. We have spent the past eight years learning the ‘first’ in a category of the candidate isn’t as important as getting the best candidate. This is America, not Guatemala.
One spouter asks why the Khans haven’t received an apology from Trump. What on earth for? Mr. Khan is an immigration lawyer in New York specializing in bringing in new non-citizen Muslims, aiding them with visas and green cards. If Trump becomes president and makes good on his promise to place a moratorium on non-citizen Muslims until vetting procedures are improved, Khan’s office loses a lot of business! The Khans politicized their very courageous son, not Trump, to promote their agenda. I’m old enough to remember WWII; I’ve never known a Gold Star family who did that!
Nowhere does the Constitution prohibit a ban on non-citizen Muslims. Entering the U.S. is not a right!
