Overwhelmed By Official’s Rapid Response

By Rizzo

To The Editor:
I walked into the Lower Township municipal building on Bayshore Road in Villas on Tues. April 12, with erosion on my mind. I have been a homeowner in Lower Township off and on for 21 years and have always dreaded the experience of dealing with our “officials” in any way. Well was I surprised! I was greeted in a professional manner, and was immediately directed to Eileen, the manager’s secretary.
I told her my problem, and within five minutes, Michael Voll, township manager, and Gary Playford, construction official, were in the office.
Within 24 hours, both Voll and Playford were with me at the site of the erosion ready to help in any way that they could. Talk about responsive!
I needed to tell this story so everyone would know that there just might be a renaissance going on in Lower Township, and that Voll just might be the manager we always needed.
