To The Editor:
Dr. Suketu Nanavati is one of the most talented, dedicated, loyal, community-minded, individuals that I have ever had the pleasure of calling my friend. His talents, however, do not extend to the political arena. He is much better at tending the very sick people of this community and county.
His commitment and dedication was brought into vivid focus on Christmas Day, when he made a house call to assist my very sick wife to the complete amazement of everyone here that day. They simply could not believe their eyes when he walked in.
If the choice were to listen to a group of people complaining of snow not being plowed, tree branches not being picked up, trash not picked up, not enough playgrounds, high taxes, budget hearings, and a long list of other concerns, or tending his very sick patients, the choice is abundantly clear.
I know he would be an excellent public official, but the time needed to properly address the needs of the community would be divided by the time that would be required for the very ill people of this community.
Nanavati needs to do what he does best…a great doctor for this community and this hospital.
