To the Editor:
“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that (is) it’s an opportunity to do things that you could not do before.” (San Francisco Chronicle, Nov. 7, 2008)
The above statement came from Rahm Emmanual, a former chief of staff of Obama and a former mayor of Chicago, a sanctuary city that harbors illegal aliens, and has a history of lawlessness and violence. Last year (2019) they celebrated the fact that their number of homicides dropped to 490.
The statement, which he has repeated on many occasions, exposes one of the strategies that Obama and his minions used to fundamentally transform America. As noted before, when in power the Democrat Party wants a tyranny with an unarmed citizenry. When out of power they want chaos, which, thanks to the “mainstream” media, enables them to openly push their America-destroying agenda upon an unsuspecting, uninformed and misinformed public.
Our country is in a perilous situation. The people who run the Democrat Party are continuing their relentless efforts to overthrow a duly elected president, undermine every foundational principle upon which our nation rests, and destroy our economic system.
At the same time we’re fighting an invisible silent unrelenting enemy that threatens to kill more than 150,000. Their war on civilized Americans has not stopped, it has accelerated since they know we are in a weakened state. It’s pedal to the metal time for them.
Amid all of this chaos, a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday, the Republican and Democrat leaders of the Senate had just about agreed upon a $2+/- trillion emergency package designed to provide medical and financial aid to an apprehensive America. The bill was ready to go.
However, at the last moment, Nancy Pelosi flew in from San Francisco (a place she would like to turn our country into) and demanded that certain items be included in the Senate bill. That act delayed the passage of the House bill for four days and delayed needed medical and financial aid to the American people. She tried, but failed, to include the following:
- An expansion of wind and solar tax credits.
- New emissions standards for airlines
- Require greenhouse gas stats for individual flights
- Student loan forgiveness.
- Report corporate pay stats by race.
- New corporate board diversity rules.
- Early voting requirements in all states. This one along with the following are designed to create more chaos and help the Democrat Party commit voter fraud and wipe out the votes of those of us who play by the rules. Remember, they believe that only suckers obey the law.
- Same-day voter registration.
- Risk-limiting audits of election results.
- Requiring availability of Internet for voter registration.
- New subsidies for retirement plans for community newspaper workers. I know that your staff would not be influenced by this one, but I can’t vouch for other community newspapers.
- Major expansion of collective rights for Federal workers.
- 2020 Census reforms relating to citizen status of students. More chaos since most of the census forms are already out.
- Pay off all Post Office debt. Say what?
- More money for sanctuary cities.
- More money for Planned Parenthood.
None of the above items has anything to do with rescuing American citizens from this deadly crisis. It’s all about iron-fisted power. We have nothing in common with these people.
