Chef Chris Stewart (far right) of Cape May’s Harbor View restaurant took top honors in the Chefs’ Cook-Off, part of the Cape May Food & Wine Festival’s Gourmet Marketplace, held Sunday, Sept. 20, at the Cape May Winery.
Jason Pehlan (middle) of The Blue Pig Tavern at Congress Hall secured second place, and third place went to Nick Heischman (far left) of Tisha’s Fine Dining in Cape May.
The Chefs’ Cook-Off is a test of skill and speed in which chefs are given a variety of ingredients, and then improvise a dish on the spot.
The people have voted and the first place winner of the People’s Choice Chowder Contest is Aleathea’s Restaurant at the Inn of Cape May.
Harbor View restaurant took second place in the Chowder Contest and Tisha’s Fine Dining won third place.
All proceeds from the People’s Choice Chowder Contest benefit the Kiwanis Club of Cape May.
