From Sept. 17 to Oct. 18 at 8 p.m., it’s To The Ladies, written by Pulitzer Prize winners George S. Kaufman and Marc Connelly, the second of eight plays on which they collaborated.
This charming comedy is about Leonard Beebe of Nutley, who wants to get ahead in the world. With the help of his young bride, Elsie, he might just do it.
In 1922, To the Ladies! was on Broadway starring Helen Hayes, but after 1926, no other productions can be found.
The cast of eight includes Ken Glickfeld, Terry R. Harris, Rob LeMaire, Tiffany-Leigh Moskow, John Morton, and Morgan Nichols, under the direction of Gayle Stahlhuth.
This event was selected by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts as part of the American Masterpieces Series in New Jersey. American Masterpieces is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts.
“Nearly all the great men have been married. It can’t be merely a coincidence.”
