Howl about this! The ‘Dog of the Year’ will be named on Oct. 26 at the Port O’ Call, 15th and Boardwalk. The big announcement is scheduled for noon. Twelve local pooches have been holding their doggie breaths anticipating the news. The suspense ends Sunday when one is crowned and trots away with all of the biscuits.
The winner was selected by money vote with funds benefiting the Ocean City Dog Park.
The announcement will be followed at approximately 12:30 p.m. by a Howl-Oween Costume Contest open to all canines. At 1 p.m., pooches are invited to enjoy a refreshing swim in the Port O’ Call pool. Observing a group of dogs paddle and splash together is a sight to yap about! Bring your camera. Bring your dog. Bring a towel.
In the event of rain, the events will be held at the Music Pier Pavilion, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. To learn more about the dog park access www.oceancitydogpark.org.
