State Troopers Struck by Lightning in Separate Vehicles on Parkway

COURT HOUSE – Initial reports indicate that two New Jersey state troopers were struck by lightning while sitting in their patrol vehicles, one in each vehicle, at a construction zone on the Garden State Parkway southbound at mile marker 10.9 at 2:13 p.m. July 21, according to New Jersey State Police’s Facebook page.
Neither trooper sustained serious injuries. One trooper was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for observation. The other trooper did not require any medical attention.
