O.C. Emergency Management Issues Special Weather Warning

By Herald Staff

OCEAN CITY– The Ocean City Office of Emergency Management has issued the following special weather warning just before 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 15.
For the next several days, Ocean City will be impacted by two consecutive areas of low pressure which will cause nor’easter like conditions, including tidal flooding, high winds and heavy rains.
A coastal flood warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for our immediate area. Residents who live in low lying areas are reminded to move vehicles to higher ground prior to times of high tide, to secure loose items outdoors, and to closely monitor weather forecasts.
Due to tidal flooding there is a potential for the 9th street bridge to be closed for periods of time. Please continue to monitor the National Weather Service Forecast, local media and your local authorities for the latest information on changing weather conditions.
