Blizzard-like Snow Makes Friday Commute Messy

RIO GRANDE — Predictions of snow from a half inch to four inches were hard to believe early Feb. 1.
Then the snow started to fall, and fall, and fall. At times it was whipped by winds that drove it horizontal and fell at such a fast rate it was hard to clear away.
By about 11:30 a.m. the system cleared, sun broke through the clouds and sidewalks and streets began the drying out process.
The snow closed Cape May County Zoo.
