Update on Rio Grande Avenue Construction

Wildwood PD Logo

By Press Release

WILDWOOD – During construction on Rio Grande Avenue, side streets in the area commonly used as an alternate route to access the George Redding Bridge have been closed.
According to a release, those roads include Susquehanna Avenue as well as Hudson Avenue south of Rio Grande Avenue.
To avoid traffic congestion in the neighborhoods surrounding the construction area, drivers en route to the George Redding Bridge should avoid using Hand Avenue and Taylor Avenue, as there is no longer an outlet to Rio Grande Avenue.
Because traffic delays are expected in the area throughout the construction project, drivers are encouraged to use either the Middle Thorofare Bridge or North Wildwood Boulevard as alternate routes to access/exit the island.
