Sea Isle City’s Beautification Award recipients

By On Deck Staff

Each year, Sea Isle City’s property owners make the community’s residences and businesses as visually attractive as possible.
To honor those who make a noticeable improvement to the resort’s overall appearance–and to inspire others to do the same–the Sea Isle City Environmental Commission hosts an Annual Beautification Award Contest.
The commission examines overall exterior appearances and improvements, including landscaping and maintenance.
The 2008 Beautification Awards went to eight homeowners, all of whom received plaques and gift certificates to a local garden center.
The winners include Sal and Michele Ciuro, 3614 Sounds Ave.; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Halasek, 3622 Central Ave.; Fred Borden, 109 54th Street; Matt and Tricia Dever, 300 47th Place; The Bradley and Boileau families, 4616 Park Road; Ron and Kathy Custer, 4710 Central Ave.; Paul and Rosanna Innes, 134 80th Street; and JB and Chick Flora, 8000 Landis Ave.
“We would like to thank all the business and homeowners who have put forth an effort to beautify their properties and our community,” said Dudley McGinty of the Environmental Commission. “We would also like to thank Sea Grove Garden Center for supporting this contest.”
