CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Speaking before a packed house of supporters at The Deck at Avalon Links, Middle Township Committeeman Tim Donohue kicked off his quest for a third term on Township Committee on Thursday night, June 1.
“As I seek my third term, I’m proud of my record and the good work we have accomplished together,” Donohue said. “But every election is about the future. There is much work still to be done. I look forward to the coming campaign, listening to your ideas and concerns, and sharing my vision for a brighter future for our hometown.”
Tim Donohue was first elected to Township Committee in 2011 and has served as both Mayor and Deputy Mayor in his six years in office. He has never voted for a tax increase.
“Moving forward together, we must continue to fight to ensure that local government spends our money wisely and reluctantly. We must be willing to call out the opposition when they try to bring the politics of the past back into Town Hall. We must re-commit to the hard work required to turn away from the status quo. We must strive to bring real, positive and lasting change that improves the quality of life for all our residents.”
Donohue said the campaign had exceeded its early fundraising goals and is well positioned to bring its positive message to the voters.
