Donohue Campaign Stays on Path to Positive Change

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – As the campaign enters its final days, GOP candidate for Middle Township Committee Tim Donohue pledged to stay true to his message of real, positive change.
Since committing to the Township Committee race in February, Donohue has remained focused on the central themes of his campaign, holding the line on property taxes.and working for leaner, cleaner, more open and responsive government. Despite fresh attacks on his message from his opponents, Donohue vowed not to be diverted from his plan to help Middle Township taxpayers.
“More than five months prior to the Democrat candidate entering the race, I was out talking to voters and addressing their concerns,” Donohue said. “Our successful effort to draw attention to the dangerous conditions on the Phase II section of the bike path, set the tone for our campaign.”
The pressure and publicity brought to bear on Township Committee forced them to take long overdue actions to finally address the life-threatening hazards and unfinished construction on the bike path.
“Real leadership and commitment can inspire others to get involved and to take a stand,” Donohue said.
Donohue’s Countdown to Zero Tax Plan has resonated with taxpayers across the political spectrum.
“Republican, Democrat or Independent, we are all taxpayers,” Donohue observed. “Our plan is three steps, simple and easy to understand. With a little political courage, we can stop raising taxes.”
Tim Donohue has called for holding quarterly Township Committee meetings and work sessions in Rio Grande, along with Saturday Town Halls throughout the Township. According to Donohue, these steps would be just the beginning of an effort to provide more open and equal access to government, while promoting real voter involvement in the decisions that affect the Township.
“We should not be looking to Washington or waiting for Trenton to solve our problems,“ Donohue declared. “Those politicians got us into this mess. Our campaign for positive change is about engaging the talented and hardworking folks in our home town to get involved, to work together, and to build an even better Middle Township.”
“To start down this path, I need your help,” Donohue said. “Please answer the call and join our movement by voting for Tim Donohue for Middle Township Committee on Nov. 8.”
