Candidates Campaign by Land, Sea in Final Hours Before Primary

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE — With Primary Election Day less than 24 hours away, Column One Republican candidates Ralph Bakley, John McCann and Rita Fulginiti are campaigning by land – and by sea – to make sure county voters can make an informed decision on Tuesday (June 8).
On Saturday (June 5), the Bakley-McCann campaign even took a boat trip around the back bays and lagoons of Ocean City in order to reach every single Republican in Cape May’s largest municipality.
“We’ve left no stone unturned throughout this campaign,” said Freeholder Bakley. “That’s because Cape May voters have a stark choice to make on Tuesday and they deserve to hear the truth. We simply cannot afford another three years of Gerald Thornton’s fiscal liberalism. It’s time to move our county forward and replace him with my conservative running mate, small businessman John McCann.”
“Our opponents don’t have a plan. Endless conspiracy theories and petty personal vendettas can’t lower a single tax bill,” added McCann. “It’s time to right the ship. Taxpayers deserve straight talk and real facts: our Column One Team will cut spending by 15 percent over the next three years. That’s a real plan capable of keeping Cape May County’s tax rate the lowest in New Jersey.”
