Morey’s Piers hosts Regional Lifeguard Challenge

By On Deck Staff

Morey’s Piers and beachfront waterparks will be hosting the Northeast Regional Ellis Associates Lifeguard Challenge on July 24-25 at Raging Waters Waterpark.
The annual event challenges teams from aquatic facilities all over the northeast region of the United States to demonstrate effective lifeguard safety practices in simulated scenarios. The winning teams will go on to compete in the National Lifeguard Challenge Finals scheduled for July 30-31.
Having received the prestigious Platinum International Aquatic Safety Award for 12 consecutive years, Morey’s Piers two beachfront waterparks have an outstanding safety reputation, leading the industry in daily operational safety practices.
The Platinum National Aquatic Safety Award is the highest safety rating achievable and signifies the waterparks at Morey’s Piers are among the safest in the world.
Nick Landry of Jeff Ellis Associates, Inc. says, “Our goal with the Lifeguard Challenge is to provide fun yet challenging events that help keep our clients as leaders in aquatic safety and drowning prevention throughout the world. Lifeguards at our client facilities are trained professionals in recognition and response to aquatic emergencies, and this is an outlet for them to showcase their skills.”
Along with Morey’s Beachfront Waterparks and Jeff Ellis Associates, the event is sponsored in part by Mainline Commercial Pools, Water Safety Products and Fox 40.
