Library adds programs; seeks teen input

By On Deck Staff

Come join the fun on Mondays at 5-7:30 p.m. for an exciting game of Bananagrams at the Stone Harbor Public Library (609-368-6809), 9508 Second Avenue.
Bananagrams is a word game in which lettered tiles are used to spell words. The object of the game is to arrange tiles faster than your opponent, and be the first to cause the pool of unused tiles to be exhausted.
The tiles come in a pack that is made to look like a banana peel.
Also, the Cape May County Library wants to know what teenagers are looking for when they visit the library, so a Teens Advisory Board (TAB) has been created.
All teens interested in voicing their opinions are welcome to join the TAB, whose mission is to keep the “Teen Zone,” — Justin the Teen Librarian — at the Cape May County Library in tune with what local teens want or need from the library.
The first meeting is on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Main Branch, 30 Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House. Future dates will be decided at this meeting.
For more information, email Justinh@cmclibrary.org, or call 463-6357.
Woodbine Public Library, 800 Monroe Street (609-861-2501), will have the following hours in effect through March:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 1:30 to 5 p.m.
Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., and 1:30 to 5 p.m.
