The Atlantic City Ballet, a unique, chamber ballet company composed of 12 professionals and 10 apprentices will be opening its 2008-09 season by bringing Dracula to Cape May.
This extraordinary company under the direction of Phyllis Papa, features classically trained dancers and danseurs from New Jersey, Philadelphia, California and around the world.
Dracula will be performed at the Paul W. Schmidtchen Theatre at Lower Cape May Regional High School, 687 Route 9, Cape May, on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m.
“We are very excited to bring the company to Paul W. Schmidtchen Theatre at LCMR, said Papa. “Everyone at LCMR has been very supportive and the Theatre is beautiful.
“The arts community here in Cape May is alive and (very) well and we want to be a regular part of it. We hope to create an audience base with Dracula so that we may include this area in the rest of our season.”
Tickets are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors and college students, $15 for children 12 and under.
Specially priced tickets for area dance students are $15 with studio verification and $10 for Lower Cape May Regional High School students at the door with ID.
