July busy at Wetlands Institute

It’s July at the Wetlands Institute, so don’t miss the line-up.
Full Moon Paddling
Hop into a kayak as the sun sets and the full moon rises and paddle in the moonlight with kayakers from the Wetlands Institute July 16 and 17, and Aug. 15, 7 to 10 p.m. This is an adults-only event and no kayaking instruction is provided.
Fabulous Family Nights
Slimy? Scary? Sneaky? Separate fact from fiction when the Academy of Natural Sciences brings some critters of ill repute to the Wetlands Institute July 23, 6:30 or 8 p.m.
Tickets are available in advance or at the door.
Featured Creatures
Every weekday it’s a different live animal at the Wetlands Institute’s Featured Creature at 11:15 a.m. and 1: 15 p.m. It’s free with admission to get up close with terrapins, crabs, sea stars, and horseshoe crabs.
Totally Turtle Tuesdays
Tuesdays are totally turtles at the Wetlands at 5 p.m. with live turtles, the latest terrapin research for kids and cool crafts. Call ahead (368-1211) to find out what the turtles are planning. Fun for all ages and free with admission.
Green Screen movies
Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. it’s nature movies including the Planet Earth and Blue Planet series. Free with admission.
