DENNISVILLE – Dennis Township Committee recognized Joseph Verdade Jr. for attaining Eagle Scout rank at its Nov. 27 meeting.
Verdade’s Eagle Scout project was at the Aviation Museum at Naval Air Station Wildwood in Erma.
He utilized railings that the museum had purchased from the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, from the vessel Twin Capes that was retired from service. The vessel became too expensive to run, so it was sunk to form an artificial reef off the coast of New Jersey and Delaware. The railings were repurposed as barriers around airplane displays at the museum.
