Upper to Repurpose Bond Surplus

PETERSBURG – Upper Township Financial Officer Barbara Ludy informed Upper Township Committee members, at their June 8 meeting, that department heads submitted proposals that would need to be covered by the surplus of a 2018 bond issuance, rather than be paid out of 2020 funds.
“We have requests for $27,000 for improvements to Amanda’s Field; $60,000 for Public Works; and $10,000 for the pole barn at the Community Center,” she explained. “I suggest, for these immediate needs, we repurpose the $140,000 surplus we still have from the 2018 bond issuance.”
Committee agreed with Ludy’s recommendation, with the hope that security cameras at Caldwell Park will move forward, and that department heads will be contacted about the 2020 needs they have requested for further discussion.
