PETERSBURG – At the Upper Township Committee meeting Nov. 25, Upper Township Mayor Richard Palombo and committee members recognized Alexander Brown, of Troop 55, Tuckahoe, for reaching the designation of Eagle Scout.
Brown’s project consisted of constructing an outdoor classroom related to reforestation, and then performing reforestation at the Cumberland Rifleman Club in Millville. The Rifleman Club certifies and decertifies police officers, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents, and other types of law enforcement officers.
To construct the classroom, Brown cleared a site where it would be placed, built two, large picnic tables for use by instructors for teaching and displaying gun safety, and cleared and planted trees in an area that had been destroyed by fire.
