PETERSBURG – Upper Township Committee adopted the 2019 municipal budget April 8. The $13.7-million budget, introduced March 11 passed unanimously. There were no citizen comments prior to the final vote. In 2018, the municipal budget was $12.1 million and did not call for a tax increase. The 2019 budget calls for a less than one cent municipal tax rate increase per $100 of assessed value. A homeowner with a house assessed at $300,000 could see an increase of around $35 in the municipal tax bill.
