PETERSBURG – At their May 26 meeting, Upper Township Committee members approved an ordinance that modifies its zoning ordinance and implements its master plan reexamination.
The plan provides specific details regarding floor to area ratio, decorative features on buildings, such as cupolas, and front porches and open decks. The ordinance took immediate effect upon approval.
During public comment, Linda Bateman, president, Strathmere Business Association, and resident Ted Kingston complimented the township for moving forward with the plan, since homeowners in Strathmere presented various concerns at prior Committee meetings, which were addressed through the ordinance.
