Tuckahoe Safety Concerns

TUCKAHOE – During Upper Township Committee’s meeting Jan. 22, member John Coggins reported that residents in Tuckahoe have been complaining about two issues related to safety: street lighting and pedestrian crossing near the Tuckahoe bank. Township Engineer Paul Dietrich explained that Atlantic City Electric is “backlogged installing lights there because they are working on a large grant to install LED lights in Atlantic City. Once finished, Tuckahoe is next.” Dietrich said that he would look into various options such as a solar-powered pedestrian crossing sign or another measure to make that area safer.
