PETERSBURG – At the Upper Township Committee meeting July 22, Mayor Richard Palombo reported it appears drivers are increasingly adhering to the recent change in the restricted parking rules.
The rules ban parking along the west side of Commonwealth Avenue in Strathmere and continue until 22nd Street in Sea Isle City.
Over the past weekend (July 20-21), as more drivers become aware of the parking restrictions, only a few cars ignored the “no parking” ban.
Two off-street parking areas, built on Sea Isle City property between Fifth and Seventh streets, with nearly 200 parking spaces, are operational and helping to compensate for the loss of parking on Commonwealth Avenue.
