STONE HARBOR – Stone Harbor Borough Council Feb. 7 voted to alter its existing New Jersey Infrastructure Bank application to eliminate aspects of its grant proposal pertaining to the sewer system and refocus the application on drinking water system improvements.
The decision follows discussions with the state, which indicated that the application process would be more favorably considered if it concentrated on drinking water system upgrades.
The same resolution, which approved an amendment to the grant application, added upgrades to the water main along Third Avenue, from 80th to 96th streets.
