Sen. Lautenberg Diagnosed with Stomach Cancer

WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg has been diagnosed with a curable form of stomach cancer.
According to the Press of Atlantic City, Lautenberg, 86, is the nation’s second oldest U.S. senator.
He will not be resigning, spokesman Caley Gray said in a news release — canceling the issue of a Republican governor filling a vacancy left by a Democratic senator, the Press stated.
