Retired Prosecutor Sues County

COURT HOUSE – Retired Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor has filed a whistleblower lawsuit claiming Cape May County freeholders denied his request for lifelong medical insurance because he had disagreements with them, New Jersey Law Journal reports.
The lawsuit, filed in Superior Court Nov. 20, names the county, the freeholder board, the five individual freeholders and human resources director Jeffrey Lindsay as defendants. Taylor is seeking compensatory and punitive damages under the Conscientious Employee Protection Act and the state Civil Rights Act.
