STONE HARBOR – The new police department building construction is drawing close to completion. A certificate of occupancy is expected by Dec. 12. At the Borough Council work session Oct. 16, Administrator Jill Gougher gave a project update.
Once completed, there will be a two-week period during which all department personnel, furnishings and equipment will move into the new facility.
Then renovations will begin on the first floor of the existing police department which will be part of the connected, two-building complex that will support the department in the future.
It is expected that the certificate of occupancy for the renovated portion of the old building will be ready by early March thus ending the project.
