STONE HARBOR – Borough Council introduced two bond ordinances April 6, which together would provide almost $15 million for capital projects in the borough.
The general fund ordinance was for $10.3 million, with $4 million of that total designated for stormwater drainage projects, and $4.1 million for the construction of a new beach patrol headquarters, at 95th Street and the beach. The other large allocation in the ordinance was $1.6 million for road improvements.
The second ordinance introduced bonds for the borough’s water/sewer utility, totaling $4.4 million. One project, listed at $1.2 million, involves upgrading water meters and associated piping. The other large allocation of dollars is for upgrading infrastructure, along specific enumerated streets, estimated at $2.3 million.
