No Rumble Strips in Neighborhoods

PETERSBURG – At its March 25 meeting, Upper Township Committee discussed a list sent to township administration from the county of roads it is recommending for installation of center-line rumble strips. Committee decided it would approve the list but not in residential neighborhoods unless those areas are made no-passing zones. Such action would curb the noise made by drivers crossing the strips. Several committee members said that even though they live a distance from their respective roads when drivers cross over a rumble strip the reverberations reach their homes and are extremely annoying.
