RIO GRANDE – For the fourth consecutive year, the Middle Township Committee is hosting one of its September meetings and corresponding work session at the Rio Grande Firehouse, 1120 Route 47 South, Rio Grande.
According to a release, residents can attend the Sept. 16 work session that begins at 4 p.m. followed by the regular meeting at 6 p.m. These are public meetings.
“As mayor, I’m excited to restart this annual tradition to take our Township Committee meeting on the road to Rio Grande,” Mayor Timothy Donohue stated. “Our work session will focus solely on important initiatives underway in the Rio Grande area. We look forward to hearing questions and comments from the residents.”
Topics to be discussed at the 4 p.m. work session topics will include the Cape May County former Kmart project, updates on the Railroad Avenue Park and the Del Haven water project. The police chief will address community public safety and homelessness. Attendees will receive an introduction to the Safe Streets to Transit (SSTT) application.
