COURT HOUSE – At a Middle Township Committee meeting Feb. 22, Mayor Timothy Donohue said the township is seeking a $400,000 grant from Cape May County, with the funding to be used for the repair of township roads affected by the Del Haven Water Infrastructure Project.

The funding for the grant comes from American Rescue Plan (ARP) infrastructure pandemic relief dollars awarded to the county. County officials have established an up to $400,000 grant process for each of the 16 county municipalities that have projects that meet the federal requirements for the use of the ARP funds.

Donohue said, “The county wants to make these awards” and he feels confident that the proposed township submission will be successful.
