Mayor: Zero Tax-rate Increase in ’20

By Camille Sailer

SEA ISLE CITY – As is tradition, Mayor Leonard Desiderio gave his State of the City address to Sea Isle City Council members Feb. 11.
Desiderio noted, “I am proud and pleased to announce that this year there will be zero increase in Sea Isle’s tax rate for 2020, and for the seventh year in a row, no water, sewer or utility hike, either.
“Sea Isle’s financial position is the strongest it has ever been, and we have a $ 6.4 million surplus, which is two times the amount of seven years ago. Our priorities are keeping our beautiful town safe and clean while maintaining and improving infrastructure, and I’m happy that, with everyone working together, we are achieving these goals.”
