Man Living Under O.C. Porch Arrested for Criminal Trespass

OCEAN CITY– The Ocean City Police responded to a trespassing complaint in the 500 block of 15th Street on August 23, 2009. Upon arrival the Officers were directed to a storage area beneath the porch of a private residence. The Officers located a William G. Coyne in the storage area. Coyne appeared to be living at the location without authorization of the property owner. Coyne was then placed under arrest for trespassing. As the Officers searched the area incidental to the arrest of Coyne they found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, packaging material for drug sales, a digital scale and a stolen surfboard. The investigation was conducted by Ptl. Brian Gheen, Ptl. Clint Helphenstine and Det. Stephen Schaffer.
The Accused, William G. Coyne, was held on a warrant issued by Judge Richard Russell in the amount of $20,000.00 full cash bail. Coyne was also detained on arrest warrants from Somers Point, New Jersey in the amount of $1,375.00. Coyne was then turned over to the Cape May County Correctional Facility.
