NORTH CAPE MAY – The long-awaited Roseann Avenue flood control project will go on as promised, according to Township Administrator James Ridgway. Ridgway cited the passage of an ordinance that will add $3.99 million to the existing bond amount for the project. This increase was caused by the receipt of competitive bids that far exceeded the township estimate for the project. This new bond will include a combined total of $9 million. Ridgway states the township had hoped the project could be completed within the $5.2 million estimate, but that proved unfeasible. A public hearing will be held March 19.
